Born in the UK, Shukeel Murtaza began his career at Toni & Guy London in the early 90′s.

 

His success quickly took him from stylist to Art Director and from London to Australia, where he became an International Art Director at the prestigious Sydney Academy in 2003. Shukeel spent 5 years in this high profile position working on collections and educating for world-renowned brands such as Tigi, L’Oreal, Label M, Wella, & Kevin Murphy.

 

He also spent time educating, producing, and directing hair and fashion shows in Australia, Asia, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia and China.

 

After travelling the world, Shukeel decided to pursue adventures on a freelance path and returned to London in 2013. Since then, he has showcased his skills at 4 major fashion weeks, working on Sam McKnight’s team for brands including Chanel, Fendi, and Vivienne Westwood Gold Label. His work has also graced the the pages of well known magazines such as Marie Claire, Shop Till You Drop & Rolling Stone, along with more alternative titles like Doing Bird & Hunger Magazine.

 

More recently, he has been part of large scale editorial assignments for acclaimed photographers like Rankin and Max Doyle.

 

With his innovative approach, laid back manner and enthusiasm for creative challenges, Shukeel has become an eminent talent in the hairdressing and fashion world and continues to work on various creative and editorial projects.
